Huw Jones (aka Fox Control) is an in-demand and constantly working music producer and musician.

 

In 2012, Huw’s debut electronic music release, as Fox Control, was commercially well received charting at #1 on iTunes in Australia and his contributions to many Australia Arts Council and NSW Ministry for the Arts funded theatre productions have earned him awards for ‘Excellence in Sound Design’ in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019. In 2020 Huw had his first label release on Dutch record Label Armada. Listen here

 

Recent collaborations with artists such Jacob Ridgeway and Murringahdi have led to remixes he has made as Fox control being played on national youth broadcaster Triple J.

 

Huw’s passion for working with music technology has aided him in creating musical collaborations and productions that are extremely diverse, from sound design for sculptural and art installations, theme songs for TV shows, producing pop acts to working with institutions and music conservatories producing technological/ contemporary elements for traditional and classical music projects and international

Notable recent projects Huw has been involved with include:

2021: Collaboration with Indigenous design company Yerrabingen and Studio Gilay to create a sound installation for Sydney's Scaleup Hub at Tech Central. You can listen and read about the work here

2020: Collaboration with UoN's Fastlab and Newcastle Council to create playable sound design for public sculpture installations. You can find out more about this project here

Huw also has a professional background in teaching and training as a teacher with the University of Newcastle, TAFE NSW (Hunter Music Department), alongside 15 years experience in private tuition and artist development.
